Humanities
What is Humanities?
Humanities is language usage, geography and history all in one. That doesn't mean that we only have an hour each day to learn something new; the period is two hours of work. I like Humanities because there is always a project to look forward to. It is one of my favorite classes because it really makes you think "what can I do better?"
Life in the Balance
BNW Project
In Humanities, we had three weeks to make a project of our choice to show what we learned from BNW. For my project, I made a survey that would show an idea they had in the book. If you want to learn more read my paper!

Seminar Reflection
This is my seminar reflection. This seminar we talked about the book we read, Brave New World. For those who don't know, a seminar at Animas is like a graded conference where we answer and talk about a question of a recent topic.

The model U.N project
For this project, we took on a country and tried to represent the country in a model U.N conference. This project took about one and a half months to do because of how much you had to study about the country you represented and how they would deal with an issue. For me, this was both easy and hard because my country was the United States of America. It was easy because I already new plenty about my country, but there were so many articles, that you had to find the best ones out of thousands.
WORK
The short story
On this project in Humanities we had to create a historical short story from an ancient civilization of our choice in a group of 4 to make our stories connect and tell some history. My group chose the Aztecs for our story.

The Caesar Project
During this project, we learned about Rome and Julius Caesar. We also read Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar." I thought this project was really fun. It was hard to understand the book but on the most part it was fun.
